I’ve been designing products since 2008, with the last nine years in games and consumer technology: five at Activision and four at PlayStation.
I studied industrial design at California College of the Arts, expecting to design physical objects. I ended up designing the software inside them. So I tend to treat the hardware, the interface, and the service around it as one product.
I’m most at home early in the process, when a product is still taking shape. I prototype in Figma and code, using tools like Claude and Cursor, so people can try an idea instead of just reading about it.
At PlayStation, I developed original R&D concepts and pitched new product ideas to teams across Sony. Most of that work was interaction design and quick prototypes, and it contributed to 13 patent filings, including three granted US patents where I’m the sole inventor.
